On the Sixth Day of Christmas my Kindle Brought to me……

    Christmas Kisses by H.M. Ward
“How hard is it to NOT have sex with him? Lust has melted Holly Connelly’s brain and it’s all Ryan Darcy’s fault. He’s been ruthlessly flirting with her for the past three years. Ryan’s a sex god complete with sinful body, endless wit, and an orgasm-inducing smile. One sultry look from him will make her panties jump off her body.

His endless string of one-night stands has Holly thinking she’ll be just another conquest. Since she actually has feelings for the guy, it makes it that much harder to put off his advances. When they get trapped together by a snowstorm, it’s all she can do to resist him. If Holly says yes, she’ll probably regret it. If she says no, she’ll always wonder what if.”

This is another tale of two people who have always wanted more from each other but bad timing and misconceptions kept them from on another.  Gladly, fate steps in and forces Holly and Ryan together.  True love will overcome everything.  le sigh….

  • On the Fifth Day of Christmas…..

On the Sixth day of Christmas my Kindle brought to me…..

A Very Lusty Christmas by Cara Covington!

    A Very Lusty Christmas (MFM)

“Lieutenant Kate Wesley couldn’t believe the audacity of the two pursuit pilots! Bad enough Gerald Benedict grabbed her into a steamy, delicious kiss, but his brother Patrick did the same thing! They let her go, promising to see her soon. Kate knows that will never happen. There is no room for romance between a lieutenant and a major, or two, in 1942.

Yet before she knows it, Kate is promoted and sent to a small town in Texas to be the nurse-administrator for a convalescent home. She soon learns a formidable family matriarch by the name of Sarah Carmichael Benedict is behind this move—and those two pilots she thought never to see again are determined to woo her.

With the future tenuous at best, will Kate risk everything for love? And will her men find the root of the malfunctions that have been plaguing the airfield, before becoming victims of foul play themselves?”

This is Book 14 of Ms. Covington’s Lusty, Texas Series.  As with the A Santini Christmas, we see the back story for the matriarch/patriarch that one wouldn’t normally get to see.

We have seen how Grandma Kate had a hand in all of her grandchildren and a few great nephews and nieces find love, but here we get to see how she found love under two pursuit pilots (hehehe alternative title, Cara?).  And boy do they pursue Kate!  I learned to fall in love with Kate all over again though her pilots.  It was awsome to finally meet Gerald and Patrick “in person” instead of just hearing about them.

Here is the reading order for the Lusty, Texas Series:

    Love Under Two Gunslingers
    Love Under Two Lawmen
    Love Under Two Benedicts
    Love Under Two Wildcatters
    Love Under Two Honchos
    Love Under Two Flyboys
    Love Under Two Strong Men
    Love Under Two Navy SEALs
    Love Under Two Kendalls
    Love Under Three Titans
    Love Under Two Doctors
    Love Under Two Cowboys
    Love Under Two Masters
    A Very Lusty Christmas
    Love Under Two Jessops
    Love Under Two Adventurers
    Love Under Two Private Dicks
    Love Under Two Responders
Love Under Two Quarterbacks *(On Pre-Order now at Siren Publishing)*

Needless to say that this whole series is one of those that I read over and over again (definitely a Five Heart Series!)….and often crosses over with the Divine Creek Ranch Series of Heather Rainier, and who can resist that combination?!!!

    Ciao!!

  • On the Fourth Day of Christmas…..

On the fourth day of Christmas my Kindle brought to me……

I Heard Him Exclaim by Z.A. Maxfield

Who Likes a Skinny Santa?  Steve Adams’s heart hasn’t been in the Christmas spirit ever since doctors put a stent in it and ordered him to clean up his act. No longer filling out his Santa suit or allowed to make merry, he’s forgoing the holidays this year and heading to Vegas to indulge in the few vices left to him: gambling and anonymous sex.

His road trip takes a detour when he encounters Chandler Tracey, who’s just inherited guardianship of his five-year-old niece. Overwhelmed, Chandler’s on his way to deliver Poppy to his parents. But fate has other plans and, after car trouble, Chandler and Poppy accept a ride home with Steve. Though the heat between the two men is obvious, they put it on simmer while they band together to make Poppy’s Christmas as perfect as possible.

Steve soon comes to believe that while Chandler is the right person to look after Poppy, someone needs to look after Chandler. Fortunately, Steve knows just the man for the job.”

This book is also available as part of the His For The Holidays anthology.  For some reason this is one of my favorite stories from this anthology.  I tend to read it over and over when I am in a Christmas mood.  You can feel Steve and Chandler’s connection right from the get go.  You can feel the love.  This is a story is shorter than I would like it to be, but I have to say there is alot in that happens.  I would love to see this expanded.  See what happens after Christmas.  If you find you cannot get yourself in the Holiday mood,  read this story and see how fast Steve’s family can get you there.

    Ciao!

  • On the Third Day of Christmas…….

On the third day of Christmas my Kindle brought to me……
A Santini Christmas by Melissa Schroeder

A Santini Christmas is the fifth book in a Series about four brothers who believe in service before self, and the women who will bring them to their knees. Each story is a stand-alone novella featuring one brother and his love interest. They do not have to be read in order, but to fully enjoy the reader might prefer to read them in order. Each book features a different service and a location where Mel was stationed with her husband.

    Book 1: Leonardo
    Book 2: Marco
    Book 3: Gianni
    Book 4: Vicente
    Book 5: A Santini Christmas

In this fifth book, we join the Santinis as they gather together not for the joy of the season, but in crisis. One major event throws everything they hold dear into jeopardy, causing Joey to travel back to the memories of when she and Papa first fell in love.

“Joey Antonio doesn’t have time for men. Her focus is on saving money for art school.  She definitely doesn’t need some jarhead Romeo bothering her.  True, every time they run into each other she finds herself more attracted to him—not to mention the kisses he steals are becoming addictive. Still, no matter how sexy the Marine is, she isn’t a woman who is willing to risk her heart.

Stewart Santini, known to everyone as Papa, is convinced Joey is the woman for him. Sexy, smart and tough—exactly how he likes his women. He finds himself falling even before he knows what hit him…but there is one problem: Joey is willing to share her bed, but not her life.

Papa  knows Joey is surprised when he agrees to a casual affair, but he has other plans to set him motion.  This is one Marine who will battle to win the most precious thing in the world to him: Joey Antonio’s heart.”

What a wonderful book to round out the series!  Sometimes when reading a series I do wonder about the parents and how they came about, what their story was and to actually find out in their own little Novella is a treasure.  Now I know the why Papa was so gun-ho about helping his sons find love like his own.  Le Sigh….

    Ciao!

  • On the Second day of Christmas…..

On the Second Day of Christmas, My Kindle Brought to Me……..

A Little Christmas Romance by H.M. Ward
    A Little Christmas Romance

“There’s no such thing as second chances, and Brooke would know. This Christmas will be spent alone and celebrated, same as the last. It doesn’t matter that she’s a disgruntled mall elf, standing next to a chimney-scented Santa with the most annoying co-worker ever. It doesn’t make Christmas more magical. It’s just another day to endure, and the holiday can’t pass fast enough. That is, until her old flame, Chris, spots her.

After taking a picture with Brooke in her elf costume, things take an unexpected turn. Maybe getting through the night won’t be so difficult after all.”

This short holiday novella, but it is classic in nature.  Being a Long Island girl, I smiled within two seconds of reading this novella for the simple fact that it takes place in a town I know quite well.  I have been to that particular mall more times than I can count! I could play that mental movie without effort.  I wonder if most readers enjoy reading books that take place somewhere they know?

This book is a cute little story that reminds us all a few life lessons.  1.  Communication is key in any relationship.  2.  Don’t let fear run your life and 3.  Always give love a chance.

I enjoyed this book.  Wish it would have been longer, but there is another Christmas book by Ms. Ward that I will be reading and including later on.

    Caio!
