    OWNED BY THE ALPHA ANTHOLOGIES

Short hot reads that will give your your Alpha fix.

My favorite story was “Wolf Hunter” by Elena Kincaid. Ms. Kincaid’s shifter world is a little different than most and I have to say, I liked it. I also like that Logan’s human mate could hold her own and that he didn’t make a huge deal letting Theresa fight with him.

The Alpha lives for the hunt…

Driven by instinct, an Alpha shifter recognizes his fated mate from one scent, one touch. He’ll pursue his woman, regardless of the cost, and anyone else would be smart to get out of his way. He won’t stop until he takes possession of his prize.

Although the hunter doesn’t need convincing, his mate certainly does. The Alpha will have to prove himself as a lover and convince his woman that he plays for keeps.

One of my favorite stories in this collection of hot reads was “A Tiger’s Luck” by Maia Dylan.

I have been a fan of Maia’s since the beginning. With every story, no matter the length, always give gives you a to die for Alpha and a mate that makes him check his ego. Yuri and Xander are a hot couple who compliment each other. They are perfect together.

  • Wicked Favor by Sawyer Bennett

Wicked Favor was definitely wicked in the most delicious way.  Jerico let revenge overshadow the time he spent with Trista.  Kynan is his conscience, but Jerico won’t let him hear it.  He made Trista an offer she couldn’t refuse, and hey, if he and she could have a side benefit, so be it.

I really enjoyed reading this book, not for the sex (which is beyond hot), but the story was great.  I really loved the interaction Jerico has with Corrine.  Just shows who he really is inside.

If this is not on your TBR, it should be.

Wicked Favor AMAZONNew York Times bestselling author, Sawyer Bennett, is happy to introduce a new Wicked Horse club in Las Vegas and you’re cordially invited to attend the grand opening…

As the owner of The Wicked Horse, an elite sex club located along the Vegas Strip, Jerico Jameson never spends the night alone. Gorgeous, ripped, and totally alpha, Jerico doesn’t grant favors and will rarely give you the time of day—unless he wants you in his bed. So when the sister of his sworn enemy shows up asking for help, saying no should be easy. But when Jerico takes one look at her and sees an opportunity to help this beautiful woman while exacting revenge on her brother, he’s not about to pass that up.

Beaten and bruised, Trista Barnes is running out of options, and Jerico is her last chance to get out of the mess she’s in. She doesn’t know why Jerico despises her brother so much, but as long as he can help her, she doesn’t care. Jerico offers her safety while opening her up to a sinful world she never knew existed.

As she succumbs to Jerico’s erotic charm, Trista lets herself fall into the wicked world of guilt free pleasure with no regrets. Under his strong alpha hand, she blooms, and so does Jerico’s possessiveness. But what happens when Trista finds out she was a pawn in Jerico’s game all along, and that the price for his favor was steeper than she ever imagined – her heart.

    Jerico

For three nights, I’ve watched her.

By any definition, I’d totally be considered a stalker.

But from the comfort of my office, I can pull up the security feeds on my monitor and take note of the subtle changes in Trista as she works the condiment tray. Truth be told, I don’t need her working that job and have a much greater need for her to go back to cleaning, but fuck if she doesn’t look a hell of a lot sexier in a thong than a turtleneck and pants.

Part of my training in the military was gathering intelligence, so I can pick up on the slightest of details that could tell me a very important story, and there were a lot of changes I noticed over the last three days with Trista as she settled into her job routine.

The most important and pleasing thing was that Trista’s stopped hiding her sexual curiosity. When she first started working here, she looked around a room in a vague way, not taking in too many details. I think she was afraid to watch.

Afraid of what it would do to her body.

    But that has definitely changed.

Now, Trista watches what the patrons are doing. Sometimes, she stares for long moments and much to my delight, the kinkier the acts, the longer she stares. My trained eyes take in her chest rising and falling to keep up with what I’m sure was a racing pulse. She’d adjust the straps covering her breasts in a very minute way either because the pressure on her nipples was too much, or because she wanted to create some friction.

    Naughty, naughty girl.

My favorite though was when she would cross one long leg over the other and squeeze her thighs together as she watched, and I had no doubt her clit was probably pulsing with desire.

Trista was getting braver too. She never once took any man up on an offer to join, and there had been some I’d seen. I had told her she could if business was slow, but I also made a spectacle in front of Willis that she was off limits. Perhaps Trista thinks she’s off limits to everyone, and it’s fine by me if she wants to think that.

  • Spotlight on Kris Cook

As Kris’s website states, “If you’re looking for a good place to start, take a look at his Mockingbird Place series”  I heartily agree.

I love this series.  It kinda reminds me of a much better version of Melrose Place.  I mean like 1,000% better.  People of all genders and sexual preferences call Mockingbird Place home, and I wish I lived there.

Picking one coupling is difficult for me.  Each holds a special place in my heart.  I want to have S & M cooking for me, I want Oliver to decorate my home and I want  Red Shimmer playing at my next party.  Each book is like learning your best friend’s story.  How they became who they are.  How Malcolm met them and had them join his family.  And that is exactly what Mockingbird Place is a family.

The first 5 books and the Holiday bonus are available in a bundle.  The sixth book is out with the seventh coming soon, and I am looking forward to it.  The fourth book below is three to play which is a spin off of the Mockingbird Place series.  To find out how it is a spin off, you will have to read the series to find out.

I have loved every book from Kris Cook to date.  If he is not on your Must Read list, he should be.

Kris CookKris Cook was born in Monnett, Missouri, USA. His father was in the military, so Kris grew up in many locations, including: Missouri, Maine, California, Washington, Germany, Illinois, Indiana and finally settling in Texas.

Kris is a fiction author and novelist, writing in the romance, new adult and gay fiction genres.

His approach to writing is to dig deep emotionally with hard hitting and relevant current issues, striving to deliver books that have you ripping through the pages, catching your breath, and HEAs that will reach your heart.

  • Dust on the Bottle by Lori King

    DOTB Blog Tour Banner

A perfect blend of Crawley Creek and Hell Yeah!  Series.  We always wondered why Kyler was the way  he was, and find out it was all because of losing the woman he loved told me 2 things.  He wasn’t mature enough to handle the love he had, and he loved Monica…hard.

Monica had issues with trust and loving people who might leave her, she leaves them first.

I was thrilled that Kyler decided to fight for Monica.  You go after what you want in life and never let it go.

DOTB 3D BookFreelance Photographer Monica McCray has one goal, never pass up an adventure. Coming to Crawley Creek Ranch, she finds one.

Kyler DeWitt’s inner demons are close to killing him. Booze and self-pity leave him a ticking time-bomb.

When these two forces collide, a passion like no other ignites. Now Monica realizes the adventure she wants includes North Dakota roots, but will she be enough to keep Kyler grounded or will she be just like the dust on one of his bottles?

    Excerpt

“Hey Monica, what are you doing out here?” Drannon asked when he spotted her.
“Waiting for the sunrise. I couldn’t sleep,” she answered.

Drannon nodded. “There’s not a more beautiful sight than the sun rising over the ranch. Except for my beautiful wife of course.”

Monica laughed. “Of course. Looks like everyone had a good time last night.”
“Yeah, it was great. I don’t imagine much will get done around here today, but at least Hawke had a memorable night.”

“I’m not so sure about that.” Kyler’s voice came from the door. “I just left him on the sofa in the living room because his feet stopped working before we made it to the stairs. As drunk as he is, he won’t remember much.”

“You’d be surprised,” Drannon remarked. “Even alcohol can’t cover up some memories.”
With that, Drannon entered the house, wishing them both a good night, and Kyler headed her way.

“I didn’t expect to find you still awake.” He reached for her, lifting her up so that he could take her seat and settling her on his lap. Memories of nights spent in his lap watching movies, and playfully eating breakfast in the morning while perched on him, flooded her brain as he hugged her tight. “You feel good.”

“So do you. You’re warm.” She pulled the blanket a little tighter around her, and tucked her head into the crook of his neck. “Do you remember that weekend you were sick and we had to cancel our double date with Marcus and Violet?”

He chuckled. “I remember. I felt godawful, and I was grumpy as a wounded bear, but you stuck it out and never once punched me.”

“You weren’t that bad.” She giggled. “Okay, you were a bit whiny, but you had the flu. Everyone’s whiny when they have the flu. That was the only time I ever felt like I was being strong for both of us.”

“Good, I don’t want my woman to have to be strong for me.”
Monica lifted her head to glare at him. “First of all, I’m stronger than most men I know, and second, I liked being able to take care of you for a change.”

“You don’t have to tell me how strong you are. I’ve seen you in action. I was there when they buried your granddad, remember?”

The reminder was a shot to the heart, and she felt her eyes burn with unshed tears. “A lot happened in a short time that year.”

He nodded, and pressed her head back to his shoulder. “But we got through it. Together…”

His words hung on the air, heavy with accusation. They’d been inseparable until she freaked out and ran. She’d really hurt them both, and for what?

“Ky, I’m sorry,” she whispered the words, and for just a moment, she wondered if he’d even heard her. Every muscle in her body was taut until he brushed her bangs from her forehead and kissed her gently.

“I’ve missed you, Monica. More than you know,” he murmured, his words echoing in her ears on the quiet night.

    “I missed you, too.”

It seemed to be enough, and she was relieved when he didn’t push for more from her. Together they sat in the rocking chair and watched the first rays of pink appear on the horizon. The new day dawned clear, and birds chirped cheerfully around them. Monica felt as though, in that one moment, her entire world was at peace.

  • Linda Gets Her Groove Thing by JD Frettier

A really funny look at the hereafter. Who doesn’t think about getting back at those who hurt us the most in life. Karma is a bitch, and Linda makes sure she pays her ex a visit.
Linda White is on a mission to sic Karma on her cheating, ex-husband Grey in this laugh out loud second installment of the erotically incorrect Green Room Chronicles.
After being blindsided with infidelity and financial devastation, recently widowed Linda has sworn off men forever. Nearing middle age, her dream of retiring early from the airlines is no longer within reach, so, she retreats into the world of battery operated boyfriends to deal with the stress. When the one purchase Linda counts on for a long haul flight to Paris backfires, she passes away suddenly… from a conniption fit, of all things!
Linda lands in the infamous Green Room where she’s met by veteran Green Roomers, Dee Smeltzer and Bonnie Hampton. Always up for stirring the pot and having a good time, they introduce Linda to the finer aspects of the Green Room and Edwina Starr, the renowned sorceress who has a few Karmatic spells up her sleeve. Let’s just say, ‘Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.’

Join Linda, Dee, Bonnie, and a few familiar Green Room faces-old and new-for a frolicking green time that will leave you in stitches as Karma comes full circle.

It’s Halloween and I’m packing for Paris. Before getting all excited for me, let me explain. Yes, it is Paris, but I’m a flight attendant and this is my job. The trip is not for pleasure, but the contents in the package I’m waiting for will insure my trip is full of pleasure anyway. The kind of pleasure that doesn’t cheat on you, doesn’t break your heart, and doesn’t leave you wallowing in debt. More about that later…
The grandfather clock in the den rings its familiar Big Ben chime. It’s straight up twelve noon. At the same time, the ding dong of the doorbell sounds and I rush to answer it. Left eye closed, I squint and peer through the peephole. My heart skips a beat at the sight of the younger-than-me UPS dude on the other side of the door. Tanned and muscular, he looks damn hot in those dark brown shorts. Tucked under his arm is a little brown package. He’s writing on his clipboard while I watch with excitement. When I don’t open the door, he grabs the knocker and gives it three loud repetitive raps which startle me into action. He’s pleasant when I answer.
“Afternoon, ma’am. I have a package for a…” he glances at his board, “…Linda White. It needs a signature.”
My cheeks splitting from my huge smile, I gush, “I’m Linda White.”
He extends the clipboard and smiles back. “All righty, then. Sign on the dotted line, Ms. White, and this baby is all yours.”
In a flash my signature is scribbled on the document. Heart beating in anticipation now that this little beauty is in my possession, my foot closes the door while I’m thinking, Honey, you have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for this. Back braced against the door, I take a deep breath. Ordered weeks ago, I am dying to meet my new travel companion, BOB.
After dashing to the kitchen, I slice open the top of the package with a paring knife. My G-Spot stimulator is calling to me! I’ve timed this purchase, and was assured delivery would be made before five p.m. today. I’d even been tracking the package online all week in my anticipation. This was going to be a long haul flight, and I wasn’t looking forward to tackling it without some kind of relief.
The small box packed inside bubble wrap has the item color checked as ‘black’. I’d ordered hot pink, so I grab my glasses to read the label closer. My blood pressure rises when I see that what I’ve received is not my G-spot stimulator, “guaranteed to make you squirt with pleasure,” but, rather, a butt plug.

    FREE MAY 23 & 24

JD Frettier is the nom de plume of USA Today Bestselling Author Jennifer Theriot. Being a child of the 1960s and Woodstock era, she was elated when a quirky couple spoke to her, requesting their love story be told. It was an offer she couldn’t refuse, so she decided to venture into the world of paranormal via ‘channeling’ with her debut novella, Desperately Seeking Sixty-Nine. JD’s laptop and mind are now open to new characters. She’s already interviewed and selected one for the next installment of her Green Room Chronicles….so stay tuned!
