• Reaver by Larissa Ione

The first thing I want to do is to give my deepest condolences to Larissa Ione on the passing of her father.  May his wings be golden.

Last night we received 12 inches of snow from a Blizzard.  I just paid the girls across the street to use their snow blower and do my property.  I couldn’t start mine.  As for me shoveling, well let us just say my ring finger is still swollen and I have a back of a 102 year old.

Now to the review.  I was so enamored with this book that I wrote a small review on Goodreads last night, or early this morning, whichever.  But, I did want to make sure I came here and do a proper review.

Reaver is Demonica Book 10 and Lords of Deliverance Book 5 written by the fabulous Larissa Ione.  I know it can be confusing, but this book does really bring both Series together.  Here is the blurb for the book.

    WARRIOR OF HEAVEN
Reaver is an angel with a past, a record, and a less-than-heavenly attitude. Powerful enough to fight alongside the fiercest battle angels-and crazy enough to risk his wings on a one-way mission to hell-he’s agreed to go where no angel has ever gone before . . . to steal the most seductive and dangerous prize of Satan himself.

    ANGEL OF HELL
Harvester is one of the Fallen, a once-heroic angel who sacrificed her wings to work as an undercover agent in hell. But now her cover has been blown, and she’s doomed to an eternity of agonizing torture. Even if Reaver can snatch her away from Satan’s lair, even if they can fight their way out of the underworld’s darkest depths, there is one thing Harvester can never escape-her newfound thirst for an angel’s blood . . .”

This book was awsome! We finally get the whole story of Reaver and Harvester. Their story was made in heaven…..literally! Ms. Ione sucks you into this story and you never want to leave it. It has everything you want in a book.  It is emotional, entertaining, and endearing.  I can’t wait for Reverant and Blaspheme’s story.

    I give this book a definite ❤❤❤❤❤!

    Keep Warm!

    Ciao!

  • Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all!  I rang in the new year at my parents’ house with my hubby on the phone, my son, niece, nephew, sister, brother-in-law, and our dogs, Max and Taco.

I have a new widget here on my blog.  I am doing a Goodreads Challenge.  In 2014 I am going to read 250 books.  That is roughly 20 books a month.  That shouldn’t be too hard to do especially since I am on book two and it is only January 2.  Check the widget on the right and see how I am doing!

I have also joined a new Goodreads group, Blogger Bliz.  Anyone have any other groups on Goodreads I should read?

Congratulations to Heather Rainier and Cara Covington and the other winners in the Inner Goddesses’ Angels & Demons Awards.   There are alot of great authors that won.  Perhaps you can find a new author to read!

As you can see, I am currently reading Warming Sebastian by Stephani Hecht.  It is part of her Birds of Prey series.  Short but interesting as usual.

I am really liking my new laptop.  Turn into a tablet when I need it to, but runs on Windows 8.1.  Boots up in seconds.  Loving it!

Anyway, I guess I should read some more before my boss comes in.

On my to be read list is:

The Parable, Montana Series by Linda Lael Miller
The Rescue Me Series by Kallypso Masters
Tangled by Temptation by Chloe Lane
    Reaver by Larissa Ione
The Bad Boy Billionaire Series by Judy Angelo
Beginning of the End (Welcome to Purgatory) by Zayne Michaels

Should take some time to read all these books. Will do them as time permits.

Hope you all have a happy, healthy, and peace filled new year!

    Ciao!

  • Safe and Coasting with Ecstasy by Tonya Ramagos

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of reading reading this second installment in Tonya Ramagos’s Heroes of Silver Island Series, Safe and Coasting with Ecstasy.

Safe and Coasting with Ecstasy (MFM)“Kimberly Bevel found her place on Silver Island. In a community where ménage relationships are the norm, all she’s missing is the love of two super-sexy hunks to complete her paradise. When she meets Coast Guard Petty Officers Emmett “Mett” and Charlie Doyle, she knows she’s found the men she wants, even if the brothers aren’t eager to share.

Mett and Charlie have been equally attracted to women before, but Kimberly is the first neither have been willing to walk away from. There’s little more important to Mett than a woman’s happiness, and he knows exactly how to deliver it. Charlie isn’t as suave as Mett, but he’s got a few moves up his sleeve.

While the brothers go head-to-head in their efforts to win Kimberly’s heart, she looks for a way to keep them both. But when she becomes the target of a madman, she may need Mett and Charlie to do more than keep her bed warm at night.”

Coast Guards who not only cook but are hot as hades too! Woohoooo! I really enjoyed this book, although a little short. Mett and Charlie are half brothers who share everything ….everything but women that is until they meet Kimberly. Kimberly is the attendant at the Welcome Center of Silver Island and who is helping with the Christmas Party after the Christmas Parade. She is ready to find two men who will win her heart. As soon as they meet, sparks fly. Will Met get over sharing Kim? Read the book and find out! But I have one question, will Charlie ever figure out what was missing from the dressing? Tonya, maybe in the next book?

    Ciao!

  • Sunday Ramblings

I posted this on Facebook this morning, but I thought I would put it here too.

Happy Sunday all! I am here sitting in bed with my tablet tryingto catch up with my post readings. I need to shout out to Toni Aleo for making it on The New York Times Best Sellers List and USA today! Kudos to you! I have read Blue Lines and of course I loved it.

I notsure who actually reads my posts here or on my blog, but if you do, thank you. I appreciate you more than you can ever know.

With New Year’s Eve only a couple of days away, I am looking forward to seeing what the new year will bring. There are three major events happening in 2014. I turn 40, my son becomes a teenager, and I will be married 15 years. It is amazing how fast life goes by.

Anyway, I am currently reading Safe and Coasting with Ecstacy bt Tonya Ramagos Book two of the Heros of Silver Island Series. This is a spin off series of Tony’s Heros of Silver Springs Series.

I don’t always post here nor my blog what I am reading, but I am on Goodreads under SiKReviews. I try to keep thatup to date. Slowly I am keeping it up to date. Currently reading, what is waiting on my Paperwhite to be read.

I currenly only buy books from Amazon or BookStrand. Since many of the authors I read are released and are published by Siren, I decided to buy from there. My one issue with that is that I have to manually enter it into Goodreads where if I but from Amazon, it automatically goes there. Amazon bought Goodreads so it makes sense.

Ok now I am babbling. I do have a question, how to I have Twitter tweet that I havea new post here?

Ok, I just bought a new laptop.  Blogging from a normal tablet is just too much work.  This can convert to a tablet but it is really a pc.  I hope this works out as great as I hope it will.  I gave my tablet to my hubby.  Time for him to get with the new age.

    Happy New Year! Ciao!

  • Callum by Melissa Schroeder

My review of Callum by Melissa Schroeder.

What could be better than a sexy, strong, rich man? A sexy, strong, rich man with an accent and wears a kilt! Callum is laird of is family who takes care of his clan and is determined to keep his family’s secret while trying to find a cure.  Pheobe is a brilliant woman whose passion of celtic mythology and rare languages brings her into Callum’s life.  From the moment Callum and Pheobe meet, sparks fly.  He is not used to anyone going against him, and Pheobe is tired of everyone trying to get her to do what they want to do. A diary brings the two together and gives something to Callum that he lost a long time ago……hope.  Hope to love, hope to cure his Cursed Clan.

I bought this book yesterday and I started reading it after dinner.  I could not put it down.  Two hours later, and a very pruny bath, I finished it.  I loved it!  It was a perfect beginning to a new series.  Ms. Schroeder put enough back story for a reader to get the gist of what happend, but looking forward to know more.  If I had to say one negative about the book, it was too short!  I know something is up with Belvidore, I hope I learn more about him too.   There will be at least 5 books in this series.  One for every member of the clan to find there “jewel”.  I am really anticipating the next book in the series.  I give this book ♥♥♥♥♥.
