    Ok I have to admit that I had not read book 1 in this series (Beautifully Brutal) until yesterday. Considering I also read this title on the same day, should tell you something right away. That I read both books in one day. (I had Taco Bell for dinner since there was no way I was putting these books down to cook, clean, or anything else.
    This series is a spin off of Sniper 1 Security. The Adorite Family is THE mafia family of Texas. Although they do things that you think mafia does, Max, the head of the family, has a conscience. Beautifully Loyal is the story if his sister, Ashlynn. She had a really difficult upbringing. Her father tried to give away her virginity to everyone….what a bastard!!! She is a part of the family business. She is not just relegated as a princess and kept out of it. I really liked that part. She is treasured, but not coddled.
    Ashlynn doesn’t really know what love between man and woman is supposed to be. Sex for her has always been an outlet or pleasure so she’d often find herself viewing adult websites like www.nu-bay.com and others too. With Jase and Leyton, she finally gets it. I enjoyed that the guys in this series are bisexual and enjoy each other as well as Ash. There are not many authors who write m/m/f, but one of the best that does, is Nicole Edwards. Well done!!! I can’t wait for more.

  • The Marine in Unit A by Kris Cook

    Mockingbird Place is a development where its residents were all helped in one way or another by its now deceased owner, Malcolm.  Each feels his loss is different ways.  Oliver literally owed the man his life.  He was more a father to Oliver than Oliver’s real father.  I cried through the memorial scene.  
    In fact, I cried at many points in this book.  The memorial, Oliver’s past, Adam’s trauma.  So many events had me emotional and entertained.  I could not ask for more when it comes to a book
    The set up kind of reminded me of a Melrose Place feel, only with people I would actually want to live near.  One of my favorite parts of the book isn’t even a part of the story, but rather the schematic of the development.  It really helped me visualize scenes as they played out.  I love how Kris used current events within the book.  This book takes place the weeks prior to the Supreme Court decision on same sex marriage, and subsequent to it.  
    This book was an emotional rollercoaster ride that I never wanted to end.

  • UNCONTROLLABLE by CA Harms

    I first must apologize to the wonderful Ms. Harms.  I thought I had hit publish on this , and I guess I did not. 

    This book is beyond heart touching.  I can’t imagine being part of a formula that causes someone’s death.  Fate plays a huge hand in this book.  So many times I though, wow this is one small world. 

    It take Avery and Kade falling in love to heal so many people, including them.  I always read C.A. Harms books like a bag of potato chips.  Never put them down and until it is done. 

    I recommend this book and all of CA Harms’s books.

    C.A. Harms is like any other addicted reader. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories. She hasn’t always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently she has taken on a new liking and now is a full blown Romance novel addict.

  • No Magic Moment by Angel Payne & Victoria Blue

    This is the continuation of the story of Margaux, the reformed pampered princess, and Michael, the lawyer with a heart.  You can’t protect everyone you love from every demon, if if that demon is you.  That is a hard lesson for Michael to learn.  

    This book, like the other three in the series, will have you crying at many points.  I can’t keep track how many times I cried during the series.  This book especially.  There are so many ups and downs.  I have to give it to Margaux though, just when you think she would e the problem in the relationship you are wrong.  The heartache is all Michael.  One thing that is not mentioned is an in depth explanation of Michael’s last love.  It was touched upon, but from what I could tell, he never really explains it.  

    As for the other three books, I have to say that the Stone family is one F*cked up family.  Killian is by far my favorite, although there is one brother I would love to have a story of……maybe a novella?

    All in all, I loved this series.  I love when books can make me cry.  It means they have touched my soul in some way.  Kudos to the authors.  I cannot wait for more.

    I’ve been hooked on books since I was a kid but it got worse in my twenties, when I discovered romances–the hotter, the better. When I learned I had a knack for telling these stories too, I guess you could say I was doomed–though my path toward romance novelist took a few detours via a concert-reviewing gig for my college newspaper (free show tickets…backstage passes…that was a no-brainer), artist interviews for a Beverly Hills dance music mag, personal assistant work for a record producer, dance club disc jockey, and a lot of fun in the hospitality industry.

    These days, I still live in California, and have found an amazing alpha guy of my own who was brave enough to marry me. We live on a street that looks like Brigadoon, with our beautiful daughter. I have the best life ever, and never forget to thank the Big Guy Upstairs for it, either.
