When Julian St. Sauveur, described in Architectural Digest as the “Rock Star of the Architectural World” was seated beside the bohemian woman on his flight to Paris, he never would have conceived how events would unfold…how this young widow would capture his mind, heart and soul so quickly and completely. She was a force of nature and his equal in every way — passion, anger, joy and just plain silliness.

Jazzmyne Mickelson took off on a journey of self- exploration and was likewise thrown off balance by the beautiful and urbane man who sat beside her.

He is curious, inappropriate and completely proprietary…she is fascinated, responsively inappropriate and swept off her feet. She is naïve and overwhelmed, thrilled and frightened in his presence. He is thinking he has found his greatest desires.

Barely begun, and tenuously fresh, Jazz and Julian’s relationship is tested by each other and the spectre of Julian’s burgeoning fame which accosts them at every turn resulting in deceit and terror.

Will they find a way through the obstacles together and stronger or will they be torn apart, broken beyond repair?

Ok, now I received this second installment of the Potential Trilogy last night.  All I have to say is, I devoured the book.  I finished it at 4am.  This continuation of Jazz and Julian’s romance was definitely a bottle book.   If you remember, a bottle book is a book where you are leaning it against anything so that you can continue reading while you are doing something else.  For me, it is usually the soda bottle on the kitchen table.  How dare my family want dinner?

The book was filled with hot sex, touching confessions, and drama that has you biting your nails one minute and crying the next.   I just could not put it down.

Jazz is such a strong heroine.  I wanna be her when I grow up!   Julian gets to show his softer side a bit more here.   He re-evaluates his idea of what kind of relationship he wants.  He realizes that he wants Jazz, but will he give up his old ways? I have fallen in love with him.   Le sigh…..  The book ends with promises, doubts, and another cliffhanger!!!!

I cannot wait until the third book, Realization, comes out in 2015!

Brava Peyton!  This is a 5 Heart book!

  • Lip Service & a Cover Reveal

By now you may or may not know that I love finding new authors to read.  One such author is Michelle Roth.  Michelle Roth is a novelist from Los Angeles, California. Previously a free lance writer for Examiner.com, she made her first foray into the publishing world with her erotic novel, Just a Taste.   On May 28, 2014, Ms. Roth’s second book, Lip Service, was released by Siren Publishing.  This is the second book in her Private Relations Series.  Even though I received Lip Service as an ARC, I decided to buy her first book then read the second.

    Lip Service (MF)

On the heels of a break up, Chloe isn’t looking to settle down. She’s just looking for a good time and she suspects that she’ll be able to find that with Chris. Together they explore her submissive side and she discovers that they’ve got more in common than she ever thought possible.

Chris isn’t looking for a relationship. He isn’t looking for any sort of emotional attachment at all. He gets far more than he bargained for though, when he starts to have real, deep feelings for Chloe. Will Chloe be able to break through the thick walls that Chris has built around his heart? Will he be brave enough to let her in?

I am so happy I decided to read Just a Taste first.  There you meet Chloe and Chris and we are told that there is something more between them than meets the eye.

Chris has always had the hots for Chloe.  However, bro code, states “Thou shalt not go out with your best friend’s sister”.   He stuck to his guns for as long as he could, but when the timing was right, the code went out the window.  Chloe always had the biggest crush on Chris.    One day, Chloe decides she wants Chris and she will get him.

They are so cute as a couple.  I was rooting for them since the first book.  I am happy that Chloe’s brother, Deacon, didn’t keep them apart.  I am sure his fiance, Sara, had something to do with that.  I was so happy to watch their journey toward each other in mind, body, and soul.  I had a lump in my throat once or twice.  I really enjoyed this book and give it 4 Hearts!

The third book in the series, Unexpectedly Yours, has been picked up by the publisher.  This one details the story of Jim Conroy and Elle Thomas.  An August 2014 release is expected.

And now….I am proud to reveal the Cover for Toni Aleo’s new book, The Whiskey Prince!  I can’t wait to see you in Philly, Toni!

When Amberlyn Reilly loses her mother, her whole world comes crashing down. Having been caretaker to her for most of her teenage years, Amberlyn is inexperienced in many aspects of life. She hasn’t had time to live, have fun, or enjoy even the little things. It’s only when a letter from her mother, asking her to fulfill three things, sends her off to Ireland to live a life she never thought possible that she begins to heal. Declan O’Callaghan was born and raised in Ireland and has his family’s legendary whiskey in his veins. He’s shy and not a fan of the pressure and spotlight that comes with his family name, or the title he was given at birth—the Whiskey Prince. Declan knows just what he wants and that is to take over the family dynasty, but when his father gives him an ultimatum, everything he’s worked for could come undone in the blink of an eye. With six months to get married, the reclusive Declan spots Amberlyn across a lake and instantly feels the need to know her. Soon, the two find themselves traveling down a path neither expected. However, like any road, there are bumps and side streets to derail them. Can Declan help find the pieces that will make Amberlyn whole again? And will Amberlyn stay or run when she learns of Declan’s deadline of marriage?

    Take a risk.
    Do something drastic.
    Fall in love.

Toni Aleo is the author of the Nasvhille Assassins series: Taking ShotsTrying to ScoreEmpty Net, Falling for the Backup, and Blue Lines.

When not rooting for her beloved Nashville Predators, she’s probably going to her husband’s and son’s hockey games and her daughter’s dance competitions, taking pictures, scrapbooking, or reading the latest romance novel.

She lives in the Nashville area with her husband, two children, and a bulldog. Read more about Toni here.
