     Everything seems to fall into place when you last expect it to. 
    Tempe needing a quiet place, Nash needing a boarder.  Sometimes you get more than you thought was ever possible.  I really love a story where one of the lead characters has a child.  It just seems to call to my heart in a way other books don’t.  A man with a child is totally hot, especially one as cute as Flip! (LOL)
    Without Tempe answering his ad, Nash would have never found the closure with PJ his soul needed.  I had tears in my eyes at many points in this book,
    I really loved how outspoken Tempe was with Nash.  He really needed it.  They were really sweet together.
    Tempest Braden adores her family and her small hometown, but sometimes too much of a good thing can be confining. At almost thirty, having watched most of her siblings find true love, she’s anxious to experience her own happily ever after, and the move to Pleasant Hill, Maryland, is just the change she needs. When she rents a room from ruggedly handsome, and closed-off, artist Nash Morgan and his adorable son, Phillip, she thinks she’s found a little slice of heaven on the outskirts of town, where she can concentrate on building her business.
    That is, if she can ignore the undeniable heat between her and the sinfully hot single father.When Nash bought his farmette, he had one goal in mind—to provide a loving, stable home for his son. He never imagined he’d be raising Phillip alone, or renting out a room to keep their heads above water.

    This book is jammed packed full of action, passion, and heartache.  It has been a while since I read the previous books in this series, but with this book, I became reacquainted with the many Opposites characters.

    I so look forward to more of Apollo and Ian.  There is so much to their story, and I can’t wait to find out what that is.

     

    Retribution Runs Deep

    The line between retribution and vengeance is often just as thin as the line between love and hate.
    Cillian feels his life was stolen from him and is out for revenge. Grieving and seeking retribution for the death of his twin sister, August is easy prey. Cillian latches onto his grief and feeds into it, using the Outkast as a weapon to strike out at the family that abandoned him. When August learns the truth behind his sister’s death, everything changes. 
    Hector arrives at House Gaeland for a wedding, only to wind up in the middle of an unexpected war between brothers. He finds himself inexplicably drawn to an Outkast with hair as fiery as his temper. The immediate, intense, and mutual attraction stirs up an entirely different set of issues. To be together, August and Hector will need to thwart the most evil of plans and accomplish the most daring of rescues, all before Cirian follows through with his threat to drop August off the side of a cliff.  
    The people of House Gaeland have endured much, and yet, there is more trouble on the horizon. A birth and a wedding are far too much happiness for the universe to allow, so to level the playing field, the devil must add his cards to the deck. Violence begets violence and Cirian is perfectly willing to take a dagger to his brother, if need be. Will he feel the same if the blood spilled belongs to someone much closer to his heart? 
    Snapped is the third book in the Opposites series, the series must be read in order. It is an adult, dystopian majorly M/M series that encompasses all manners of relationships (including M/F and F/F). In this world logic is irrelevant, love is key, and things get broken—just ask Aiyan and Kaden.

    *Warning* there is a brief mention of sexual assault, though not in detail.

    God bless the Paradise Alpha Male.  One thing about Paradise is that love at first sight is abundant and the women make them work for their affections.

    The perfect book to come out on Valentine’s Day!  Like most books from C.A. Harms, I had tears of sadness and happiness at different times.  Greer goes through more than one loss, only to find herself, a hot as sin man, and two little princesses.  Darren suffered his own loss.  Everyone bugged him to move on for the sake of the girls and himself, but he couldn’t even think about it.  That is until he caught site of the beautiful Greer.

    I really thought their story was truly touching.  A love story for sure, but also about healing after loss.  I loved the two girls, Vivian and Violet.  So cute!!  But, my favorite character was Grandma Norma Raye.  I would have so much fun with her…..I would take her to a bar or a strip club and have a blast!

    “So who is the girl?” My mother’s question confused me, and the look on my face must have expressed that confusion. “The one the girls keep talking about,” she added unhelpfully. “Vivian said you were talking to a pretty lady today and she made you smile. The one from the blue house.”

    I shook my head and chuckled as I finally understood. How could a friendly introduction between two neighbors be interpreted as anything more than it was? Then again, I was dealing with two girls that had their pushy, nosy, need to-fix-it-all granny fishing for any snippet of my nonexistent personal life.

    The woman was hell-bent on me being happy, but I was happy. I had my girls, and I didn’t need anyone else.

    “Just a new occupant in the vacation home behind us,” I said and got back to working on the pipe below her kitchen sink.

    But she kept hovering. “Oh yeah,” she said dragging out the word a little longer than necessary.

    “Yeah, Ma,” I said, ignoring her strange interest in nothing. “Just a simple hello, nothing more.”

    “That isn’t what Vivian told me,” she said, her voice laced with humor.

    Oh Lord, the woman either needed a damn hobby or she needed to focus on my brother, who was twenty-six and still living above her damn garage. He was the one who needed a push, not me.

    “Vivian is four years old, and she still believes in princesses and dragons.” I leaned out from under the sink and gave my mother an exasperated look. “Gossiping with my daughter about my love life, or lack thereof, isn’t your style, Ma.”

    “Yesh, it is.” I looked to my left to find Dean, my brother, talking through a mouthful of chips as the crumbs fell from his lips to the floor at his feet. “She doesh it all the time,” he assured me, still attempting to talk with his mouth full. I looked back at my mother.

    She shrugged and gave me that innocent look she used to her advantage often, only this time I didn’t buy it. She was guilty.

    Guilty of prying and using my daughter—or daughters, I had to assume—as her window into my life.

    The woman was evil.

    This is a spicy anthology ready to set your Kindle on fire!

    I chose to review Two on One Breakaway by Cassandra Carr. Ian and Derek were the perfect team on and off the ice. When Ian gets traded, Derek was afraid they would never find the one woman made for them.

    When the two are reunited, Ian introduces Haley into the scene.  She ever though in a million years she would have a menage let alone a relationship with two men.

    The three are sweet and you could tell their menage is not just about sex.  It is a special relationship.  The sex is hot, but the relationship is sweet.

    Two on One Breakaway by Cassandra Carr – Ian and Derek are professional hockey players who work and play together both on and off the ice.
