Today I received a jury questionnaire in the mail. It is the third one I have received. The last time I received one, I sent in everything I had to for me to be exempt from serving because I am the caregiver/parent to a child under the age of 18 who has Autism. I was excused. Now I received another one in the mail and I have to go through the whole process again! I called my child’s neurologist and asked for a letter of diagnosis. You want to laugh? They want to know how long his medical condition is expected to last……duh!!!! Then I have to get my son’s birth certificate and write a letter stating why I can’t arrange care for him. Really? What do they expect me to do with him after school? Who would run him around to all his after school activities? Pay someone? Not in a million years! This government is ridiculous!. My name should have been flagged the first time so that I don’t have to go through this anymore! It is an inconvenience and annoying and I know I am probably whining, so excuse me. I hate having this over my head, having this unresolved. I know it isn’t the actually the Summons, but that is usually next, so I want this taken care of as soon as possible!
On another note, I am currently reading Backfield in Motion by Jami Davenport. This is her newest book in her Lumber Jacks Series.
