There’s a new game at LA’s most exclusive BDSM club, and everyone has to play!

Mae never imagined she’d be assigned to the most dangerous letter of alphabet… or paired with the most sinister Dominant in the club. The BDSM Checklist game doesn’t scare Xavier, but he prefers leather and steel, and the submissive he’s partnered with thinks silk ribbon is bondage equipment.

Pushed to her limits both physically and emotionally, Mae is shock to discover how much she enjoys Xavier’s touch. But in the end it isn’t just Mae who will be affected by the unexpected chemistry between two seeming opposites. Xavier will have to decide if he’s willing to trust the lovely sub with the truth about himself, as he proves to her that there’s a darkness in her—a darkness that just might match his own.Mae never imagined she’d be assigned to the most dangerous letter of alphabet… or paired with the most sinister Dominant in the club. When I received this book, I got so excited!  As you will see in my review of the first book in this series, my inner sub was very excited over the that book.  Ever since, my brain racked itself thinking of what BDSM terms start with B.    Beatings, Bondage and Branding…oh my……  Yes my inner sub loved the subject matter.  The story of Mae and Xavier is a thing of beauty on top of it.  Scared of her masochist side, Mae is known as a little girl sub, but the owners of the dungeon must have seen more.   Xavier was severely hurt in the past both on the inside and out, and those owners know exactly what his Sadist side needed, and brought X and Mae together to burn up my Kindle.   Again, the events, especially the branding scene, played out in my head like I was really there.  That is the type of book that can get my motor running big time!  I would like to see the books from here on out a little longer but that is my preference and has nothing to do with the quality or total droolworthiness (yes I made up the word, get over it!)  I give this book on droolworthiness to my inner sub alone 5 Hearts.

Now C is for ooooooooooohhhhhhhhh this is going to be fun!

A is for…. was previously published as part of the Girls Night Out Volume 2 anthology.  I previously reviewed this title then.  However, it has now been released as a single title as well.

    Checklist_A is for…

When the overseers of LA’s most exclusive BDSM club declare the start of a sexy new game that all members must play, Anna has no choice but to participate. Master Jensen knows who, and what, he wants—Anna—but before he can have her he’ll have to prove to the lovely submissive that he can master every letter of the alphabet.

Lila Dubois called to my inner sub with her novella A is for…   Oh my did this story get my motor running!

The relationship between Anna and Master Jensen comes off the pages.  After a while, I was no longer reading the book, I was watching it!  It played like a really hot movie in my mind.  I love when a book can make me feel like I am one of the characters, or wish I was one of them.  Loved this story and deserves all 5 Hearts I have to give.

I know some people prefer accurate depictions of BDSM (mainly to prevent accidents when it comes to using some of the more kinky toys IRL) and the branding scene might not appeal to them. But each to their own,  I give this book on droolworthiness to my inner sub alone 5 Hearts.

  • Scary Modsters… and Creepy Freaks by Diane Rinella

A fantastical romance involving a girl, the music that fuels her, and her Ouija board.

Rosalyn possesses a sunny personality that is laced with quirks. Although she seeks acceptance in a world where she lives out of time, what she gets is ridiculed for her eclectic wardrobe and unconventional music collection.

One fateful night, Rosalyn bewitches Niles, a stylish man whose offbeat character perfectly complements her own. Unfortunately, he possesses a critical flaw that means relationship suicide for him and pretty much anyone.

While under the influence of insomnia-impaired judgment, Rosalyn summons Rock ‘n Roll deity Peter Lane back from the dead. Not only does he spin her hormones into a frenzy, Peter is also the precarious puzzle piece that brings sense into her world. When Niles learns that he can overcome his life-long challenge by helping Peter avenge his death, how far will he go to secure Rosalyn’s heart?

Ok, I have to admit that the beginning of this book was a little confusing to me.  Then again many books that change time back and forth confuse to me.   But, I kept with it.   About half way through the book, past and present merge and I was able to really enjoy the book.  Not that I didn’t enjoy it before hand, remember the whole flash back thing is my issue, not the story’s issue.

That being said……I really liked the story of Peter, Jane, Niles, and Rosalyn.  Fate is an interesting thing.  Soulmates, reincarnation, revenge, fixing your soul to be with the one you love…..this book has it all!  It was interesting and it makes you think of your life and what you would do to make things right.  Is revenge worth being without half of yourself or the person you love?

If you like stories about finding and being with your soul mate forever (even after your death), then this is the book for you. I really liked this story.  I give it 4 Hearts!

  • Another Author to Watch!

My next author to watch is Caitlyn O’Leary.  Caitlyn is another Siren Author who I have had the pleasure of getting to know recently.  I was asked to review her book, and it was as wonderful as she is!  But I will get more into the story later.  Please let me introduce you to:

    Caitlyn O’Leary!

Caitlyn O’Leary was born and raised in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. She’s been an avid reader all her life. Her earliest creative writing endeavors consisted of “ghost writing” exercises in which she pretended to be her younger brothers and sisters when she did their homework assignments, before they turned them in as their own. Years in corporate America honed her ability to manipulate words by day, while at night she continued to read everything she could get her hands on, including many, many steamy romances!

Now, happily married to her long, tall Texan and living in Southern California, Caitlyn has finally found the time to write erotic Happily Ever Afters for Siren. She enjoys swimming, travelling, writing, babysitting her nieces and nephews, spending time with friends and family and doing lots of “research” for her upcoming novels with her husband.

    Trusting Chance

Josie Decker and Chance Reynolds knew each other years ago when they were in the same foster home, before Josie’s birth mother reclaimed her. Now, Chance and his best friend, Sam Booth an Afghan war veteran are living in Fate Harbor Washington, when Josie re-establishes ties with her foster parents and opens a bakery in the quaint town. Chance realizes that growing up with her birth mother has left Josie with physical and emotional scars and a deep belief that she is unworthy of love.

Fate Harbor is very accepting of triad alliances, and Chance believes that the relationship that will ultimately heal Josie is one that includes both he and Sam. Sam’s recent trauma, fighting for his country, has left him beyond hurt. Chance has despaired of saving the brother of his heart, but finding Josie again has given him hope, and a plan. Chance believes the three of them can make the perfect future together.

After growing up way too soon and raising your sisters, what do you do with your life? Chance, who has never forgotten about Josie, knows exactly what she should do, and he will help her do it. Sam always knew that Chance would be there for him whenever he needed him. After being injured in the war, Chance proves that Sam was right. When Sam meets Josie, it just proved you just always trust Chance. Right from the beginning, Chase, Sam and Josie’s relationship was as seductive as Josie’s Cinnamon Rolls! I totally give this 4 Hearts!

I cannot wait for the next installment of Fate Habor which will be published on May 15, 2014, Protecting Olivia
